Blue interiors

With blue swinging back into style, winter is the time to add this dramatic neutral to any room, says Trudi Brewer.

Stylists tips:
Don't stick with one shade of blue, use a mix of hues from petrol, to duck egg, turquoise and navy. And make sure you mix these colours with neutral furnishings such as light wood glass and indoor plants.
Soften a dark blue feature wall with printed fabric cushions and a large patterned rug.
Use wall coverings in floral patterns as a feature in an entrance way or hall.
Navy is a great alternative to black and a bold neutral. Accessorise it with classic warm metals, such as gold, rose gold and copper, rather than predictable silver or white.
