Revlon are the masters at creating long-lasting nail enamel. In fact, my stand by nude is Pink Petal, in the Classic range, I have been wearing it for decades. Fun fact: They became a household name back in 1932, launching the first nail enamel, in an opaque, cream-coloured enamel. It was a big deal for women of that time, since the only other polish out there was clear or a frosted white, made from of the same stuff they put in car paint? Fast-forward 84 years and the brand is on fire and brimming with newness. One clever innovation is the announcement of its first global nail stylist, the super cute Chelsea King. An Instagram success story with 109K followers, it’s fair to say she is an influencer in the world of nail art. Self-taught, she discovered nail art online and began trying it out herself. And thanks to the world of social media, she caught the attention of a photographer, which led to an introduction to a talent agent and, ultimately, a career as an editorial manicurist. "I had to get my nail license before I could start, but once I graduated and saw my name on the agency website, that was probably the turning point of my career," said King in a recent magazine interview. So as Revlon's resident nail artist, King will be creating content for the website, working with the brand's celebrity ambassadors on photo shoots and red-carpet events, and of course showing off her creations on social-media. Check her out in Instagram @chelseaqueen, for some serious nail inspiration. From the full-on riot of colour, to the more demure, nail art is going nowhere, and King is one beauty to watch.
