Master perfumer Anne Flipo (who has created over 70 unforgettable scents for brands such as Chloè, Lancôme, and YSL, calls this new offering, “A fresh, sophisticated, sensual floral with green facets - stunning in its simplicity." Known as “London Lark” Basil & Neroli cologne was designed to capture the fun of London in the 60's - and while it's modern and fresh with a tangy bite - it's also fairly classic, and most certainly quintessentially British.
The concept was a collaboration between Jo Malone London fragrance Director Céline Roux and Master Perfumer Flipo. Roux wanted to celebrate the brand's heritage. "To create a fragrance anchored in London’s vibrant spirit and inspired by the botanical gardens and leafy squares hidden within the urban spaces.” And like all the Jo Malone new scents they are available in the Cologne, Hand and Body Wash, Body Crème and Home Candle. Made to be layered with other cologne's Flipo's picks for fragrance combining include Basil & Neroli are English Pear & Freesia Body Crème for that mellow touch of fruity freshness, and Black Cedarwood & Juniper, for a burst of woody green.
