There is not a platter that we have not created over a few wines here at BeautyEQ. And our latest obsession is crackers and a healthy whipped dip. Editor Trudi Brewer reveals our favourite.
Dip is so moorish. Accompanied with crackers, crusty bread or as a topping on hot chicken or lamb, it's a favourtie addition to our shared lunches. We are obsessed with anything new. So when we photographed our recent Mother's Day lunch, Lisa's Whipped Dips took centre stage as the starter.
Take home: We are firm believers in the motto: 'Everything in moderation'. And when it comes to snacking on guilty pleasures we follow the 80/20 rule (we only indulge one day a week). We aim for eating healthily 80 percent of the time, and 20 percent of the time, we enjoy a glass of wine, and a healthy platter of dips, with a selection of cheese and crackers. And always buy our tip is to buy fresh and the best you can afford.
Lisa's Whipped Dips, $5.30.
Why has no one ever thought of creating a light and airy dip like this? It's divine. No broken chips or crackers, the consistency is mousse-like but with a punchy savoury flavour - it's genius. Apparently, this dip was two years in the making - we can't wait to see what the party essential, Lisa's dips comes up with next. Thanks for adding a delicious touch to our BEQ drinks and Mother's Day lunch. There are three flavours: Vintage Cheddar, Caramelised Onion & Thyme. Beetroot, Pomegranate & Fresh Mint and our favourite Sweet Chilli Peppers & Roasted Capsicum our favourite.

Philadelphia Dip Sweet Chilli Philly, $4.20.
While we love the name, and we do like a good dollop of cream cheese, this dip is best served with a firm bagel or pita crisp, rather than our beloved Heartland potato chips.
Calorie breakdown
This delicious dip is very high in sugar ladies, and while the chilli does have a kick, it is from a bottle rather than freshly chopped.

Mediterranean Chunky Dip Sundried Tomato with Cashews & Parmesan, $4.
Packed with cashew nuts, canola, sesame oil and parmesan cheese this dip is tasty, but pretty calorific. It's great with sliced meat and rye bread, but it's not one we would regularly buy because it's a bit oily for our taste buds.
