Who's behind the brand?

Founder and creator of natural baby brand, The Bath House, Jo Gilberd, has developed beauty products for some of the biggest UK brands from the department store Marks and Spencer, The Body Shop, French Connection and Boots Chemist. Her latest project 95 percent natural, luxe-y looking skin care line is named Syrene. Packed with local plant and marine- based ingredients it's available in Health food stores across the country.
What is it?
A New Zealand marine collagen gel-based range of simple skin products that include natural plant ingredients including Pohutakawa, Kawakawa, Manuka honey and seaweed and marine collagen (Maricol S) harvested from the Pacific ocean.
Who can use it?
The ingredients have a true anti-ageing focus, however, anyone who wants a simple, natural skincare line to soothe and nourish skin should give it a try.
Why do we like?
Not going to lie, we are often let down by the way natural skincare looks and smells. And while we love the intention of an organic, or nature inspired skin care line, it has to feel good on the skin. Enter Syrene, which is not only so premium to look at, the textures are luxurious, and it smells divine. At last a skin care line that is 95 percent natural but does not have a Hippy-dippy vibe that offers a very concise, small range of four products for any skin type. Congrats Syrene.

Aquagel Refreshing Toner, $100.
While we don't use toner, as a rule, we do like this gel-based essence-like liquid that whisks residue makeup away without leaving skin feeling tight and dry this is thanks to the sea salt and seaweed extracts.
