How to make bliss balls

Instead of heading to the snack machine for that 3 pm for a sweet treat, these bliss balls are so easy to whip up. They satisfy that craving and are full of skin-loving ingredients such as LSA, finely ground linseed, sunflower seeds, and nuts. Here’s our go-to recipe by editor Trudi Brewer.

Ingredients

20 dried dates, soaked with 2 tbsp boiling water

2 tbsp LSA (Linseed, sunflower and almond mix), plus extra for rolling (optional)

¾ cup coconut

A handful of pistachio nuts, almonds or cashew nuts and sesame seeds

A handful of raisins or 5 chopped dried figs

100g melted cacao nibs or dark chocolate

Method

Combine dates, LSA, coconut in the food processor and blend until finely chopped and mixed.
Add the melted chocolate and blend with a wooden spoon.
Roll a teaspoon of the mixture into a ball, then roll in extra LSA or sesame seeds.
Repeat with the remaining mixture, this recipe makes about 20 balls.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge they keep for weeks.
