Foodie Friday

Our summer Foodie Fridays are kicking off with a celebratory feel. What better way to kick-start the weekend than with a glass of bubbles? Style director Louise Hilsz shares one of her favourite tipples Dulcét Brut sparkling wine made by Villa Maria.

New Zealand-made, this variety of chardonnay and pinot noir based sparkling wine is perfect to share over a tasty platter with friends. A fresh summery taste, think tart apple and sweet melon, these flavours work brilliantly with another of our guilty pleasures, a slice of Chilli Costello cheese.

For your festive table, this sparkling brut wine is the perfect way to kick-start Christmas celebrations with friends and family. And if you’re not tempted to finish the bottle the innovative Zork closure is resealable, and 100 per cent recyclable, as well as being reusable, ideal for storing sparkling wine in the fridge until your next soirèe.

Castello Chilli Flavoured Cheese Double Cream Cheese, $12.

We are cheese addicts, and at the end of a busy week, there is no better treat than a glass of chilled sparkling wine accompanied by a slice of creamy cheese. The latest variety to fire up our taste buds is flavoured with spicy red jalapeno flakes. While we don't claim to be cheese masters, we know what we like, and this buttery white cheese with its flicker of heat is way too good.
