Meet fashion PR expert Amanda Nakarmi who manages to mix pregnancy and high fashion with enviable style. Style director Louise Hilsz chats with her on all things beautiful including her very neat, baby bump.
What age did you start your career in fashion?
Before starting out in the fashion industry at 23, I studied for my masters of architecture. After a long five years, I wanted to try something different and fashion has always been a big part of my life.
What are you most excited about becoming a mum?
Ever since I was a kid myself I thought about a future daughter or son. That moment is just around the corner and I’m so excited, I’m about to meet my best friend.
What’s always in your beauty bag?
Ellis Faas Hot Lips in Nude Pink and MAC Lip Pencil in Spice. I love this combo so much I actually wore it on my wedding day.

What’s your fave skincare product?
MAC Waterweight Foundation. I’ve only recently discovered it after taking about 10 testers home from a range of different brands. I am amazed at the colour match, how lightweight it is, and that it contains that essential SPF 30, that I never leave the house without wearing.
What hair product would you never be without?
Kevin Murphy DOO.OVER dry shampoo I can't live without.
What fragrance are you wearing right now?
Acqua Di Parma - Ginepro Di Sardegna.
What’s your best beauty tip?
Aluan Coconut Oil. I was given a jar by a friend who lives half her time in Indonesia and half her time here in Auckland, he swears by it and now, so do I.
What fashion item are you obsessed with right now (that you own or want to own)?
I am currently obsessed with wearing shirts. My favourite brands at the moment are Harris Tapper and Paris Georgia.
