Suddenly there are three.....Gucci Bloom fragrances. The latest Nettare di Fiori is a zesty scent with a floral twist. Editor Trudi Brewer shares the story.
The popularity of Gucci Bloom has seen the brand launch a third in the collection. Here’s what you can expect.
What is it?
A new addition to the Bloom family also is the work of creative director Alessandro Michele. More intense, a sensual blend, created by perfumer Alberto Morillas who took his inspiration from a garden filled with evocative flowers.
What's in it?
First, if you're new to the Gucci Bloom range, this latest is building off the smash hit Bloom, which launched back in August 2017. It featured the intoxicating scent of tropical white flowers including tuberose and jasmine and the tiny red hypnotic flower from the Rangoon creeper, a plant never before used in fragrance making. Next came Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiori, which hit our wrists back in May this year. Powdery, it's a soft floral blend thanks to the summer-inspired blend of honeysuckle, tuberose, and jasmine, that sit on a bed of creamy sandalwood and white musk. And now the third, known as a green fragrance it has a woody kick, thanks to ginger and rose, patchouli, musk, and the osmanthus flower.
Why do we like it?
Partial to a green scent, this new Bloom is divine. Also, what's not to like from the Gucci brand right now? The competition on fragrance counters is stiff, and it's not just the scent that sells, it's how a fragrance looks, and how it makes you feel. The same Gucci herbarium print adorns the bottle, but this time it’s in classic black and white. Teamed with the Bloom signature blush pink, if the bottle doesn’t get your heart racing, the smell will. Now you have a family of Bloom’s to choose from, which means you are spoilt for choice.
