The latest anti-ageing skincare from Estée Lauder promises to 'unlock your skin's youth potential' and restore radiant vitality. Editor Trudi Brewer puts it to the test.
The new collection
What is it?
Estée Lauder has added three new luxurious products to its Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Collection: a Crème with SPF15 to wear under makeup; a two-phase Treatment Oil, which can added to foundation or applied before moisturiser at night; and a lightweight Soft Emulsion for use day and night.
What's in it?
Moringa extract is the powerful anti-ageing ingredient at the heart of this collection. Contained in Estée Lauder’s RevitaKey technology, moringa helps to firm skin and target dryness, while the inclusion of vitamin C and omega 3 helps strengthen ageing skin. Hyaluronic acid hydrates while prickly pear extract reinforces skin’s moisture barrier. The addition of skin-loving vitamin E, essential fatty acids and antioxidants help brighten ageing and sun-damaged skin. This combination of ingredients is what anyone with the first signs of ageing is looking for in a skincare range.
What do I like about it?
The addition of a treatment oil to this range got us very excited. Facial oil is a favourite among the BEQ team for how quickly it gets skin glowing. It is lightweight yet luxurious, has a subtle scent and feels heavenly. The results after just one week of use can be summed up in three words: smooth, hydrated, restored.
The new products in the collection
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme+ Nourishing And Hydrating Dual Phase Treatment Oil, $143.
For me, this is the jewel in the new collection. My skin's hydration cuts out about lunchtime and this treatment oil is seriously brilliant at restoring much-needed moisture. It’s packed with the brand’s exclusive moringa extract and rich in vitamin C and omega 3. I haven’t been sleeping that well lately due to the humid summer nights, but after pressing this oil into freshly cleansed skin before I slip under the covers, I’ve woken up looking refreshed and my skin nourished. It's a small bottle, so you don’t need much, five drops will be enough for your face and neck.
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme + Global Anti-Aging Cell Power Crème SPF15, $168.
I need a moisturiser that can do a little bit of everything. This one nourishes quickly without feeling too greasy, is a good base for makeup, offers SPF15, and contains a mix of skin-strengthening ingredients including calcium, potassium, vitamin C, amino acids and omega 3. It's the perfect rich moisturising solution for me right now and, if you're in the market for a new luxe-y day cream, it might be just what you’re looking for too.
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Power Soft Emulsion, $168.
Think of this ultra-light emulsion as a top coat for your skin. Applied before moisturiser and SPF, its antioxidant-rich formula helps protect skin from environmental aggressors, while the extract from the moringa plant (referred to as the ‘miracle tree’ in botanical circles) encourages collagen and elastin production. The inclusion of vitamin C and amino acids target fine lines for smother, more radiant-looking skin. Layered under a day or night cream, this emulsion makes a great travelling companion.
Already in the range
Estée Lauder Revitalizing Supreme+ Global Anti-Aging Wake Up Balm, $104.
Already in the range, the Wake Up Balm was sent into BeautyEQ with the new collection and it’s great. I love the idea of waking up my skin with a combination of sea lavender flower extract, cucumber, barley, moringa extract, whey protein and – something I have come to rely on every day – caffeine. Whipped into a lightweight creamy balm, this ingredient line-up certainly pepped up my complexion first thing, as promised. Success.
