RUBY
‘Local Honey’ is the work of creative director Deanna Didovich Ruby’s in-house designer. Who was inspired by ‘The gulp of fresh air and optimism centred on something known: the idyllic New Zealand summer. Local Honey is simple, vibrant and uplifting’ Didovich told style director Louise Hilsz. Her favourite season; this collection draws on the designers own memories of sunny days spent at the Coromandel, a coastal town on the Coromandel Peninsula of New Zealand's North Island.
HARRIS TAPPER
New Zealand designers Lauren Tapper and Sarah Harris Gould of Harris Tapper have the most exquisite summer collection. Featuring those ultra-feminine pastel shades of lemon, duck egg blue and blush pink, as well as summers, staple white. Made famous as a dedicated shirt brand, they have consistently tempted us with luxurious, easy to wear grown-up girl basics.
STORM X DUECE
Owning that ‘rock’n’roll attitude, Storm is not only the place to shop for an edgy work wardrobe, but their latest Deuce collab also features a collection of urban footwear. Storm CEO Deborah Caldwell has designed a range of sneakers that give women the opportunity to “talk with their feet”. The Hideaway sneaker, our fave from the summer collection is a statement style with metallic animal trim.
Karen Walker
NZ’s design darling Karen Walker’s new collection named "Sky" reflects what the designer calls a "postmodern Venetian getaway." A staple shade in Walker’s collections, blue takes centre stage, from duck egg to denim her new collection has a luxe-y resort cruise vibe for sure.
DEADLY PONIES
For the ultimate accessory, Deadly Ponies Resort ’20 collection does not disappoint. According to designer Liam Bowden, the use of bright colours (for defence in the animal kingdom) creates contrasting texture and bold patterns.’ New additions to the staple range; Mr Molten Midi, (a structured shoulder bag), and Mr Molten Mini, (a classic crossbody), come in new shades of coral and cobalt, alongside classic navy. If you're in the market for a new handbag this summer this range is worth checking out.
Workshop
Workshop celebrates urban dressing in a relaxed way this summer. Combinations you thought were off-limits come in a palette of nude, blue, and black, which work together to help you create a capsule wardrobe.
