Flower By Kenzo Eau de Vie

Fashion brand KENZO have a new floral fragrance and as editor Trudi Brewer discovers it has a zesty bite.

Flower By Kenzo Eau de Vie, 30mls, $98.

What is it?

I am a KENZO fashion fan, and I adore the musky, KENZO WORLD fragrance collection, so naturally, when the new Flower By KENZO Eau de Vie landed on my desk, I was keen to take a whiff. Legendary for offering up a fancy floral fragrance (this being the 27th edition of the Flower by KENZO family), this version the brand says, is a celebration of life. "To love life, live passionately, celebrate each and every moment, together, to sing in unison."...

What's in it?

A floral, with a zesty undertone thanks to warming ginger, crisp neroli, bergamot, and petitgrain that segues into a heart of orange blossom and Bulgarian rose absolute. That citrus, floral blend is made more vibrant by the warm blend of tonka bean, benzoin, vanilla, and white musk.

Why do I like it?

Technically, this is a citrus floral fragrance to anyone who is a perfume connoisseur. But for those of us who are not experts, but know what we like, this new scent from French-based, Japanese designer brand, is a unique blend of citrus and spice — the perfect perfume for winter, its an excellent addition to any woman's fragrance collection.
