What is it?
Hard on the heels of the smart Clinique ID skincare launch last year, there's a tinted option with the same innovation of customisation. For any skin type, it's oil-free and offers brilliant hydration thanks to the blend of hyaluronic acid and glycerin. This nourishing formula also contains what the brand calls 'transforming tint release technology,' made from encapsulated colour-blooming pigments, which offer a one-shade-suits-all blend of colour-blooming pigments, activated by touch.
Here's why we like it?
On the makeup side, a little goes a long way; two pumps will give you enough coverage for your entire face. In what starts as a grey hue, once you massage it onto the skin, it transforms into a lightweight, beige liquid that's more tinted-moisturiser-esque than foundation, instantly helping to even out skin ever-so-naturally.
How to use it?
Combine the new BB-Gel Base with any of the six active cartridge concentrates, $20 (there are 20 unique skincare combinations to choose from, depending on your skin type). Apply after cleansing, a few pumps will cover the entire face. It will appear grey to start, and then after massaging it into your skin for a few seconds that beige tint appears.
