Calvin Klein Eternity Fresh Eau Fresh For Her EDP, $79
Eternity fans, here’s the latest summery reinterpretation from American designer Calvin Klein. Expect a fruity, floral blend with pear, black currant and bergamot, and delicate rose, peony and jasmine. What makes it linger for hours, and reminds us of the original is the presence of patchouli and amber, but this newbie also has a hint of musk - it’s gorgeous.
Gucci Bloom Porfumo Di Fiori, 50ml, $174
Gucci can do no wrong in our eyes, and this newbie is not only stunning to look at, but it’s also a floral fragrance lovers dream. Jasmine Sambac absolute, and Rangoon creeper, ( a small red blossom, similar in scent to jasmine that grows all over Asia, is the base to all the Gucci Bloom fragrances), hits you the moment you spritz on this sunny scent. Followed by the heady blend of, tuberose, jasmine, and Ylang Ylang. That fresh greenness is given warmth thanks to sandalwood, orris, and musk.
Marc Jacobs Perfect EDP, from $159
Unexpected tart rhubarb, with delicate spring narcissus (from the daffodil and jonquil family of spring flowers), and almond milk, give this scent an addictive appeal. Cedarwood and a synthetic ingredient known as Cashmeran make it creamy once it settles on the skin, we have said this before, one word sums up this scent - delicious.
Montblanc Women Signature EDP, $150
The delicate peony, once blended with tart clementine, is the perfect pairing when mixed with voluptuous vanilla. The sunny blend of magnolia, Ylang-Ylang, and amber finish what for us is one of this season’s most hypnotic, and sensual scents.
Dolce & Gabanna Light Blue Love is Love, 50ml, $110.
The sea blue bottle is a nod to this fragrance smelling like a summer’s day at the beach. The blend of Italian lemon, granny smith apple, raspberry gelato jasmine, and creamy musk, are sweetened in the perfect way by a Chantilly accord ( a sweet synthetic). If you want a summer fragrance that smells almost edible here it is.
Versace Dylan Turquoise Pour Femme, from $99
The decadent bottle is stand out, and will instantly catch your eye in the store. Reminiscent of a Greek amphora, in stark turquoise with the famous Versace gold accents. Now to the fragrance, it embodies summer: light and fresh thanks to the zesty mandarin, lemon, spicy pink peppercorn, and cassis. Spring flowers are aplenty too, including jasmine, and freesia spiked with tropical guava. Finally, it’s the woody blend of amber, and cedarwood with white musk, that make it everything you need for a season of fun under the sun.
Chloé Rose Tangerine Eau De Toilette, 50ML $125.
Chloé fans are always on high alert for a new offering. And this addition to the iconic rose-based scent family has a tangy twist. The white rose features first, and when blended with tart tangerine, blackcurrant absolute, and the woody combination of cedarwood and amber - you have a fresh citrus floral fragrance, with a woody twist. Like every Chloé this bottle is finished exquisitely with the iconic hand-tied ribbon - this time is a summery coral pink.
