Amid the black, and grey, (shades that always mark the onset of winter), this season the standout hue is mustard. Known as saffron, or ochre in fashion circles, it’s optimistic, bright, and a little bit spicy. With dozen of variations, on this colour, here's what’s new and how to wear it.

Who can wear yellow

For pale skins, opt for soft ochre, and burnt gold. Steer clear of canary yellow or neon yellows. For olive skin tones, you can experiment with shades of lemon to daring saffron, and watch how it makes your skin glow.

Colour combos

Yellow and orange are sister hues and sit close on the colour wheel. Yellow helps break up the look of orange or red, and wearing a print is the best way to do this. In our world you can never make a mistake experimenting with colour, this season we love how mustard and wine makes for the most delicious style combination. While grey and yellow are one of the most elegant combos and much softer than teaming this shade with black.
