When it comes to finding a new fragrance for our style director Louise Hilsz it’s shall we say, a real challenge - until now. I think we have sorted that with the new Coach Dreams. Read why says editor Trudi Brewer.
I am a perfume polygamist; I usually have four or five bottles of fragrance on the go at once, but not Louise Hilsz she likes just one and has worn the same scent for years until it was no longer available here in NZ. Now this is not the case when it comes to fashion, this is easy for her she follows colour, as long as it's bold and unforgettable, but when it comes for scent, she's picky, which makes her a tough crowd. However, the day Coach Dreams landed in the office; it hit the sweet spot. Here's why.
Coach Dreams Eau de Parfum, 40ml, $85.
What's in it?
The combination of juicy pear and bitter orange, for Hilsz, "smells like summer fruits, it's delicious." Softened by the warm heart, just like hers, is courtesy of the most exquisite summer bloom, gardenia. But it's the delectable aroma that lingers for hours that sparked out style queens interest. A unique blend of cactus flower extract, Joshua tree and musk, housed in a vintage-style apothecary-looking bottle. Finished with a silver spray cap shaped like a tea rose, an intricate floral detail that adorns the brand's bags, and accessories is complete with a leather ring at the base of the silver spray cap - just another nod to Coach's rich history of leather craftsmanship. Finally, this new perfume packed in a pink glitter carton ticks every glamour box for our style director. Who, when asked what do you like about it most? "It's feminine, but not too sweet, it's just dreamy," which from Hilsz is very high praise.
