Pride celebrations kick off here in New Zealand on February 3rd until February 28th with a calendar of events designed to raise awareness for our LGBTQ community promote diversity, dignity, equality, and increased acceptance for all people in any social group. To help support and raise funds for charities associated with Pride, below are the fashion and beauty brands giving their support.
Deadly Ponies
To acknowledge and celebrate Pride here in New Zealand, Deadly Ponies have partnered with RainbowYOUTH Charity to create a limited edition, capsule handbag collection, made from recycled leather bags in a kaleidoscope of colours. Deadly Ponies auction off the handbags in-store and online and 100 per cent of the proceeds will go directly to RainbowYOUTH, supporting our local LGBTQIA+ community.
The silent auctions will kick off at 10 am Wednesday 17 February, and close 6 pm Saturday 20 February in Deadly Ponies’ Britomart, Ponsonby, Newmarket and Wellington stores and online here

Jean Paul Gaultier
Celebrating 25th years of the iconic JPG Le Mâle fragrance, Jean Paul Gaultier has designed a special Pride edition for his bestselling parfum. The striking bottle shaped in the male torso, is sporting the rainbow colours of acceptance, which are the colours on the Pride rainbow flag. Gaultier has used his fashion brand to engage and support gender fluidity and diversity, long before it was a topic of mainstream discussion. And this 2021 limited edition fragrance just in time for Valentine’s Day, not only stands out in the crowd it smells divine, with the blend of lavender, orange blossom, cinnamon and cumin.
Levi’s
Keeping it real, staying curious and spreading the love is Levi’s way of encouraging empathy and inclusivity with a new Pride collection named All Pronouns, All Love. The campaign focused on stories of big love, understanding and optimism – and of course, everyone’s welcome.
Created as a love letter to the members LGBTQIA+ community, All Pronouns, All Love is a unisex range of tee shirts and denim in rainbow graphics, inspired by the waving rainbow flag of the Castro district in San Francisco. "We find it so important to see people as they want to be seen. Which is why this year our goal is to showcase the Pride collection with a call you can’t ignore: Respect all pronouns,” says Jen Sey, Levi’s Brand President.
