From creams to lotions and body butter, here are our favourite summer body moisturisers that won’t break the bank, says editor Trudi Brewer.
Bondi Sands Tropical Rum Body Moisturiser, $12.
After our editor took this creamy (with a milky tropical scent), she won’t be without it on holiday for a week. It’s a thick consistency, ideal for dry skin, sun-drenched skin, but sinks in fast without leaving any greasy residue.
Nivea Rich Nourishing Lotion, $10.
Her mother used it, and now it’s her go-to for instant body hydration. Style director, Louise Hlisz, likes the thick consistency of this lotion, the familiar scent and of course she can buy it with her weekly shop.
The Body Shop Shea Nourishing Body Butter, $16.
Another go-to skin healer for our style director is this tub of goodness. On those days when her skin needs moisture as well as a long-lasting sheen - this is her go-to body butter.
Burt's Bees Hemp Body Lotion, $30.
There is nothing in the Burt’s Bees range of skincare we don’t adore. Along with offering 99 per cent natural ingredients, this newbie is stacked with skin-loving hemp seed oil, and scented with tangy verbena and basil.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Lotion, $11.
This lotion is rich and creamy, making skin feel instantly velvety soft, but not at all greasy. Stacked with creamy cocoa and vitamin E, it sinks in quickly and helps moisturiser the roughest, driest skin.
Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter, $24.
A glorious pot of body butter brimming with aloe vera, the succulent plant, draws oxygen to the skin, while shea butter helps keep the skin feeling nourished, while the fresh fruity citrus fragrance, is a great way to start the day.
