A new baby calls for a celebration, so when style director Louise Hilsz was expecting, what would any self-appointed pseudo-aunt do but share the love. Here’s a sneak peek of the super-cute chaos that was Pickle the Pekingese's puppy shower.

Eleven carefully selected pups and their owners were treated to hours of fun, along with their very own portrait to take home from Creatures & Co - those of us behind the camera certainly had our work cut out for us getting the best shots. Read on to get some tips on how to plan what was a spectacular puppy shower.

Decor

The table was set for Pickle and his furiends painted in Resene colours. Each of the Pupcakes carefully placed in a Lukeke glass bowl - were colour coordinated - of course.

Family and friends didn’t miss out on occasion posing with Pickle and his furiends at his very pretty pawty.

Food & Drink

While Pickle and his furiends enjoyed puppachino’s and Pupcakes the rest of us had bubbles and cake.

Champagne on arrive for the hoomans and a delicous red velvet rainbow cake from Bluebells Bakery as seen on Lukeke cake stand was the sweet treat noone could resist.

Pickle and all eleven of his furiends had their celebrity moment posing for a portrait by Creatures & Co.

Gifts

Pickle was overwhelmed by the generosity of his guests - very spoilt receiving lots of gifts. All his friends left with a goodie bag packed with toys including a Bolt Bite from The Good Pet Home and a wee beauty gift from style director Louise Hilsz Pickle’s mum.
