Foodie Friday - Dulcét Rose and goat cheese

Our favourite day of the week is Friday. Bubbles and cheese poolside, this week Dulcét Brut rose wine made by Villa Maria is on the menu. Style director Louise Hilsz shares one of her skills cheese and wine matching.

New Zealand-made, this variety of Pinot Noir sparkling wine is the perfect delicate glass of bubble to serve to friends. A fresh summery taste, red berries and notes of baked bread make it the ideal tipple with cheese. This week one of our picks is a goat with almond crackers on the side.

Yolo goat cheese review

YOLO Goat Cheese, $8.

We are goat cheese obsessed. This Spanish-style Chevre is so creamy and smooth you will not be able to resist. Experts say it has a citrusy bite; we have not noticed that but love the salty, sweet burst it gives to a nutty cracker when enjoyed with runny Manuka honey. It's also the perfect topping to fresh tomato and basil salad - a summer essential.
