Celebrating the beauty that comes in white, this new scent from Elie Saab is quite delicious. Editor Trudi Brewer discovers what could be a new forever fragrance.
Offering the most sensual of fragrances, designer Lebanese Elie Saab showcases what he does best - creating a luxurious scent to complement his exquisite fashion creations. The first fragrance launch since his signature Elie Saab Le Parfum back in 2011, this new interpretation takes you on quite the romantic journey.
What is it?
Elie Saab Le Parfum In White EDP, 90ml, $220.
Saab is calling this a 'fragrance for the most extraordinary occasion. A radiant symphony of whites.' For that special day or just because, in perfume circles, this fragrance is known as a sophisticated floral chypre (that is when a scent is a blend of citrus top-notes, and moss and woody, seductive base-notes), which leaves quite an impression. For those who love fresh, citrusy fragrances, in this scent, which is the work of perfumers Francis Kurkdjian and Jérôme Di Marion, you can expect it to linger for hours.
What's in it?
Red berries and orange blossom, with a dash of sun-dried jasmine. Finally, on the dry down (after a few hours of wear), you will discover a more in-depth, sensual, seductive blend of patchouli, white musk, and amber - which is why the scent lingers for hours.
Why do we like it?
This scent is romantic but bold. We think it suits the cool weather, but if you wear it in the heat expect to be noticed. It's so feminine, and we can see it becoming the scent of choice for a wedding day or date night. It's chic, modern and unforgettable - and it's already captured the heart of our style director Louise Hilsz who has a very bold sense of style, which is why she has decided to wear it every day.
