Our favourite new fragrance this autumn is a combination of delicate fruit and heady blooms. Here's a taste of the latest designer scents you can expect to see on beauty counters this season says editor Trudi Brewer.
Kenzo World EDT 50ml $129.00.
Pear and almond blossom and the softness of peony, once blended with earthy orris root, makes for an exquisite powdery floral. We love the soft vintage pink bottle that suits the pretty scent inside, that gives you a just-stepped-out of the shower vibe. It's going to be our fragrance of choice this season.
Gucci Bloom Acqua Di Fiori EDT, 50ml $127.
For green scent lovers, the synthetic Galbanum (fragrant gum resin) and cassis bud offer a vibrant burst of freshness that once warmed by tuberose, jasmine and Indian Rangoon creeper, a feminine floral. Also did we mention how much we love the vintage pink bottle, with green Gucci Herbarium print? On counter mid-May.
Miu Miu L'Eau Rosée, 50ml $150.
The latest, and third fragrant creation from designer Miu Miu is a fresh Eau de Toilette. The base of white flowers courtesy of delicate lily of the valley and cassis buds, when blended with a modern, synthetic known as akigalawood, makes it a heady floral with a peppery, musky twist.
Daisy Marc Jacobs Twinkle Eau So Fresh, $99.
If you're a Daisy fan, wait until you get your hands on Twinkle. The latest limited edition in the collection, you can expect a blend addictive wild berries to the delicate violet leaves that swirl into a selection of creamy, white woods. Once you try it Daisy addicts, I promise you'll love it.
Mon Guerlain Floreale Eau De Parfum, 30ml $121.
Guerlain calls this latest interpretation of Angelina Jolie's second fragrance with the brand a 'Bouquet of white flowers, heightening by luminous Sambac jasmine.' Expect a blend of white spring-like flowers with Carla lavender the most concentrated scent in this pretty perfume.
Elie Saab Le Parfum In White EDP, 90ml, $220.
A brilliant floral chypre (a synthetic blend of citrus top-notes, and woody base notes) this new fragrance is a blend of red berries and orange blossom with seductive sun-dried jasmine. But what makes it last for hours is the blend of white musk, patchouli, and amber. Fragrance experts are calling it a new classic.
