When there is a nip in the air, there is nothing sweeter than snuggling in bed with an iPad and glass of vino - even in the afternoon. The beginning of each season calls for simple style changes. Editor Trudi Brewer shows us inside her bedroom for some inspiration. By Style director Louise Hilsz.
According to Brewer, her bedroom is her sanctuary. "It's a room for pure relaxation. Living with three boys, it's a place I retreat to for some me time. I insisted our bedroom had an ultra feminine feel. This season I love the colour combination of blush, teal and black. Choosing different texture is very important in a bedroom, it helps create that luxurious vibe and combining more than one colour is the way to add interest to what can be a forgotten room when it comes to interior design. I have gathered textures such as velvet, linen, Egyptian cotton and wool, with a gorgeous Tibetan lambswool cushion in soft grey. The vintage-inspired floral print and baby pink pillows, (I love lots of pillows on a bed) complement the dove grey, linen headboard. This colour scheme stands out against the neutral half black, white Resene paint on the walls, simple wooden floorboards and a graphic black and white rug".
