Kate Spade Live Color Fully EDP, 50ml, $125

From her ultra-feminine fashion to the latest pretty scent, Kate Spade, the darling of the American fashion scene has launched in New Zealand with a fragrance called Live Color Fully and it's gorgeous. The work of the president and chief creative officer Deborah Lloyd this new fragrance was made in-house to mark the 20th anniversary of the brand. Lloyd calls it a modern floral that embodies Kate Spade's New York’ penchant for bringing a hint of whimsy to your everyday life. Here's what to expect.

What is it?
An Eau de parfum, Lloyd believes the woman that wears this scent will 'light up every room she enters'. And with the lineup of ingredients that may just happen. Lloyd goes on to say it's layered with a complex spectrum of bright florals, citrus and musk. And was created to help women step into the world of colour, if not with fashion, then with a pretty, sparkly scent.
What's in it?
Gardenia is at the heart of this fragrance, and what you smell the moment you spritz it on, until hours after the first spray. That bloom, blended with the mix of some other decadent ingredients including coconut water, Tiare flower (another tropical white heady bloom) and crisp mandarin. There is also delicate water lily, star anise, Tahitian vanilla and a hint of sexy musk.
Why do we like it?
On one of our coldest weeks for months, including a raging storm, this little ray of sunshine hit my desk. Complete with its rainbow-hued, prism-shaped bottle and a shiny Perspex stopper (a nod to the detail you find in a Kate Spade fashion buy) it's a fresh, uncomplicated, pretty floral fragrance that certainly brightened what was shaping up to be a very dull, day.

Kate Spade Live Color Fully is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100ml from $92 and is exclusive to Farmers
