What is it?
Known as Shade-Match Science, this beauty tool allows you to find the perfect Even Better Pop Lip Colour Foundation in different intensities. The range begins with a shade selection called Naked, which are neutral colours for a barely-there finish, ideal for the weekend. Then, Casual, still neutral, but with a little more punch, which offers a well-groomed lipstick look, ideal for work. And finally, Glam. The brand calls this, that bold pop of colour for a more dramatic makeup look, suited for a night out. Each colour family is the perfect match to suit the undertones in your skin, along with any makeup mood.
How does it work?
Known as Clinique Shade-Match Science, a colour wheel guides you to your perfect foundation colour from a range of undertones and finishes, in fair, moderately fair, medium, and deep. Once that foundation colour is selected, next comes the match in lip colours - proof of how flattering tonal makeup can be. To offer this service, Clinique joined forces with a software company (that specialise in colour technology who have worked with Pantone interior paint shades) to create a unique algorithm that nails the ideal makeup match to suit your skin.
