The company motto for this luxe-y brand is, "When your initials are enough." That's Bottega Veneta's ethos - it's premium, without logos, not showy. It's a brand that is understated, yet elegant, from their handbags to shoes, luggage, eyewear, fine jewellery, and furniture, as well as fragrance. The new duo named Illusione is the allure of affordable luxury, both housed in heavy glass bottles, both scents represent an escape from reality. Perfumers Amandine Clerc-Marie, worked on the female fragrance, with contemporary perfumer Annick Menardo. While French perfumer Antoine Maisondieu created the men's Illusione, together that team made perfume to boost your holiday mood, scent to remind you of summer. A heady citrus scent, thanks to grapefruit, orange blossom, and bergamot, tangy blackcurrant, with woody green fig. Finally, Italian olive wood, and tonka bean bring richness to this fragrance that reminds me of late summer afternoons spent in a garden in full bloom.

French perfumer Antoine Maisondieu has worked on some classics including Armani Code and Burberry Brit. His latest masterpiece, this citrus, woody cologne, is courtesy of orange and lemon, with cedar, tonka bean and fresh vetiver. The musky aroma that lingers comes from white cedarwood.
