When a designer launches a fragrance that’s a smash hit, there is alway another interpretation on the way. Editor Trudi Brewer shares the reinvention of the signature Giorgio Armani fragrance, Sì, known as Passione.

One of this countries top-selling designer scents is an expression of passion and comes with a phenomenal Italian pedigree. Created by designer Giorgio Armani, he describes Sì Passione as: “My tribute to modern femininity — an irresistible combination of grace, strength and independence of spirit.”

What's in it?
It has a fruity tang, but mostly it's a full-bodied floral fragrance, thanks to the blend of blackcurrant and pear, delicate rose, and feminine jasmine. Finally, the reason it's become a classic (it's been around since April 2018) is that it lasts for hours thanks to the blend of intense vanilla and woody, sharp cedar. Armani sums up who can wear it: "Sì Passione is for that woman who dares to say yes."

Why do we like it?
The stand-out colour, red, is a shade associated with fire, passion, love, and desire. It's also an emotionally intense colour - according to Armani, this is a fragrance that evokes energy and confidence.
