What are some tips on lighting, for those virtual meetings?
As a general rule, avoid fluorescent lights, which can cause unflattering shadows on the skin. Avoid overhead lights, too, as that can create dark under eye shadows. Place your primary light source behind your camera, not directly at your, or you will be squinting. Natural light is always best, and the kindness light to flatter your skin tone, take your laptop into a well-lit room that is flooded with natural light and make that the base for your online calls.

What about the camera/laptop angle?
The camera should be placed at eye level, look into the lens of the laptop, not the screen. Place something underneath the laptop it to raise it until your eyes are at the same level as the camera lens. You don't want to be looking down, you will look tired, and looking up, the person on the call will get a great view up your nostrils, which is not flattering either. Also, choose a neutral background, make sure it’s not the view of a cluttered kitchen bench, or with folded washing on the couch in view. Sit at your desk and take a selfie so you can see what others see in the background behind you.

Any style tips, what not to wear?
Not your Pj's! Try and avoid patterns, such as stripes and plaids. Choose solid, bold colours, and simple jewellery. Accessories that make noise when you move are distracting. For most conference calls, you can wear whatever you want from the waist down. One tip, before the call, take a selfie to check your appearance if you are unsure with how you look.
