Best for: Itchy, flaky scalp

 

Umberto Giannini Scalp Rescue Scrub, $25.

If you’re suffering from a flakey, itchy scalp, it may not dandruff, but a buildup of gunk (too much dry shampoo and styling product). sitting on the scalp. This can be mistaken for dandruff, but worse, block the hair follicles and stunt growth. To use: Shampoo hair and then towel dry, apply from the scamp to ends, and then leave on for ten minutes, finally rinse well.

For turning the lights back on lacklustre-looking locks, this is a ten-in-one hair primer that can be used alone or as a foundation for any styling products. It moisturises, smoothes, and prevents breakage and frizz, it offers brilliant heat protection, while strengthening each strand. It’s stacked with the band’s signature caviar extract and sea silk.

To use: A styling primer, use a small blob and apply to clean hair and then layer on other styling products, then style as normal.

Best For: Fine, thinning hair

To use: This would replace your usual shampoo, use it whenever you wash your hair.

Best for: Spilt ends and breakage

Activated by your hot tools, this weightless leave-in treatment helps bring your damaged locks back to life. It fills each strand by binding the broken hair fibres (split ends) and sealing them back together to give your style a salon-looking polish.

To use: The brand says to apply this cream from the mid-lengths to the ends and then twist sections of hair for maximum coverage. Then heat style your hair.

Best for: Toning brassy blonde hair

 

Moroccanoil Blonde Perfecting Purple Conditioner, $58.

Cool brassy tones in your blonde locks with this new colour-correcting lightweight conditioner.
