When luxe-y brand Gucci launched Bloom back in 2017, it was floral-sensation. Now there’s a new Bloom, this time an Eau de Toilette, which I’m picking will attract a woman who loves a citrus bite to her flowery fragrance, says editor Trudi Brewer. Read on to learn more.
Not only is Gucci killing it in the fashion stakes, but Alessandro Michele, the brand’s creative director, is also making unforgettable perfumes. Add the genius of top perfumer Alberto Morillas, and that combination is a marriage made in fragrance heaven. The latest, iteration in the Gucci Bloom family, (at last count there were eight Bloom scents), has completed the scene of what has become a floral tribute to the brand.
This newbie is a citrus floral, yes, fresher than the classic Bloom; but equally as exhilarating.
Gucci Bloom Eau De Toilette, is available in three sizes, 30ml, $112, 50ml, $154 and 100ml, $201.
What’s in it?
Created with an abundance of white blooms, including heady tuberose and sweet jasmine with the tiny yet potent bud-like flower on the Rangoon creeper (aka Chinese honeysuckle). That tiny flower has become the signature bud in every Bloom to date. The surprising fresh burst is thanks to the blend of neroli, bergamot, lemon and mandarin. Finally, musk and sandalwood make it warm and exotic.
Why do I like it?
Once you get a taste for wearing Gucci, it’s hard to resist anything, including their fragrance. Every Bloom fragrance is designed to transport you to a dream-like garden setting, where rambling Rangoon creeper, jasmine, and tuberose fill the air on a warm sunny day. This new version of Bloom is delightful, including the frosted glass bottle with the vintage botanical print. It sits perfectly side by side with the original - also dressed in Gucci’s signature colour, pink.
