We were fortunate to host our September BeautyEQ Long Lunch at one of Australasia's most significant neoclassical buildings, which certainly added the wow factor to our spring event. Auckland Museum is vital to Tāmaki Makaurau's history and iconic skyline, and it doesn’t get more glam than Under the Dome. Offering breathtaking 360-degree views of Auckland city, it’s a venue that leaves you feeling on top of the world.
The Menu
The moment our guests arrived, the Piper-Heidsieck Champagne was flowing. Bijou Terre De Providence Rose and Locations Spanish Red wines matched the menu designed by Collective Hospitality and the table design by Insphire. With bread and dip platters to start, the main dish was confit chicken, Pommes salaries, soubise, and roast heritage carrots served with a choice of wines. The first, a delicious, jewel-coloured French rose inspired by the Mediterranean, its berry, citrus, and honeysuckle aroma made it a popular choice. At the same time, Locations Spanish Red is famous for its succulent ripe plum, dark berries, and hints of spice that make this medium-bodied wine very easy on the palate. The dessert of the black forest, dark chocolate ganache, black Doris plum leather, sour cherry coulis, and coffee crema were the perfect bite-sized sweet treats to round off a gorgeous long lunch.

Gucci Beauty
Nothing makes a woman feel as glam as wearing a red lip, and Gucci Beauty’s offering is all class. Our guests got to see first-hand how there is a red lipstick shade for every woman in formulas that range from satin to matte and gloss. Gucci Beauty offers every finish for your lips, including lip care to the latest spring makeup looks; it’s colour, with skincare benefits that have that luxury edge.
OPI
If you’re sold on the virtues of a skin serum, then Repair Mode Bond Building Nail Serum is the answer to weak, splitting and dehydrated nails. Our guests had the chance to learn more about nail care and this unique bond-building nail serum with patented ‘Ulti-Plex technology’ that provides 99 per cent nail keratin repair and 94 per cent protection of keratin protein from damage, resulting in four times stronger nails that are resistant to breakage while relaxing during a luxurious hand massage.
The Lab
The best in cosmetic medicine offerings were on show during our long lunch. Including an expert in the field, who demonstrated a live liquid facelift, Hayden Seung Hee Lee, owner of Auckland’s The Lab. Our guests got to learn more about the latest trends and see first-hand results on how natural and accessible filler can be to help refresh and revive your skin. Also on show were the latest non-invasive skin firming, lifting and tightening technologies, including VOLNEWMER, the Ultraformer MPT, and the TESLA chair, which helps with women’s intimate wellness concerns.
Finally, the latest skincare from Universkin. This innovative approach involves multiple serum formulations from freshly pressed prescription formulas tailored to address all your skin’s needs. The top sellers in the collection, including the Cleansing Oil, Peptide Serum Mist, and our editor’s all-time favourite, Sunscreen Powder SPF50+, were at the pop-up beauty bar all afternoon.
Rabanne
Our guests were the first to spritz Rabanne’s first grand floral fragrance. Hitting stores this week, Million Gold for Her Eau de Parfum takes a woody floral musk fragrance to new heights. The blend of bold, feminine white flowers, including jasmine and rose, is heightened by lavender and the addictive quality of creamy mineral musk. Fronted by model Gigi Hadid and backed by Beyonce’s Pure/Honey vocals, this glittering fragrance seamlessly heroes the brand’s designer jewellery and beauty.
Our guests
Under the Dome was the perfect venue for our gorgeous guests to relax and unwind. One hundred seventy excited ladies spent four hours in the company of like-minded women, taking a break from their busy schedules, work colleagues, and friends. After our long lunch, each left with a Newmarket bag of goodies valued at $200; their smiles added to a fantastic afternoon.
