There a dozens of botanical extracts making waves in the beauty world right now. But none quite as powerful as bamboo. Beauty director Sarah Simpson explores the power behind this plant.
The powerhouse ingredient taking the beauty world by storm is bamboo, which ticks a lot of boxes for us. Known for its ability to add strength and shine to hair thanks to the high silica content (an essential mineral for keeping your locks healthy and strong). In skincare, bamboo powder makes a hard-hitting exfoliant while also providing a dose of strengthening properties. As a plant it's extremely fast-growing, resilient and for use in beauty products it's grown sustainably, meaning we are not depleting the planet of its natural resources - what's not to love.
