We love new makeup. This season sees the return of coral blush and visible lip liner with fluffy brows staying bang on-trend. But the best news is gone are the days of contouring our faces and spending hours blending eyeshadow. After all, makeup is all about doing what you love that makes you feel good, right? By editor Trudi Brewer.

Bronze eye makeup

To say we adore this trend is an understatement. Who better to inspire us than the man of fashion than Tom Ford. For an everyday touch of summer using a bronze shadow as a wash of colour over your lids to big events where glam bronze and a smokey eye is essential. This colour works with every skin tone and any age. Be inspired by these latest shadows hitting beauty counters now.

How to: Summer and pearly bronze makeup go hand in hand. Play up this trend by going bronze on the cheeks and applying a sheer bronze gloss on lips too. This will give your skin a seamless glow and a bronze polish to your entire makeup look.

Nude by Nature Natural Eyeshadow Trio in Rose, $28.

Good things come in three's, right? This harmonious trio proves that. A 100 per cent natural formula, of feather-light powders in matte and shimmer.

Fluffy Brows

Groomed bows enhance any makeup look, especially when they're full and fluffy. You can master this super-fluffy brow; it starts with a salon service called eyebrow lamination, and then invest in the right tools. From soaping to getting that combed-up look to adding a clear or tinted eyebrow gel for separation and definition. The fuller and more drawn out, the better when it comes to trends.

How to: Invest in a professional groom to discover the shape and correct colour to suit our face shape and complexion before you attempt to groom your brows at home. It will be the best money you have ever invested in your face.

Coral Blush

Nothing captures the essence of summer like a dash of coral brush blended onto bronzed skin. To that end, any orangey-pink blush that brings your cheeks to life is what you need to wear right now - luck would have it that this is a universally flattering shade on any skin tone and age.

How to: if you are colour shy, opt for an easy-to-blend blush powder formula rather than a liquid blush, and then blend it around the edges of your face in a C-shape. For a glowy finish, dab a little highlighter along your cheekbones and brow bones to add radiance.

'90s-inspired lip liner

It had to happen, this trend was bound to return. Outlined lips filled in with soft shiny neutral lipstick, dominated runways for spring, and while we like a blended version on this retro trend, it is the best way to keep your lipstick from travelling into fine lip lines, right?

How to: Trace the edges of your lips with a lip pencil two shades darker than your natural lip colour, layer on your lipstick or a gloss, and then gently melt the two together with your finger.
