UK stylist Trinny London, turned beauty guru, has created a midlife beauty brand with brilliant skincare and makeup. This newbie focuses on an area of the body with thinner and more delicate skin prone to UV damage. It promises to lift jowls, smooth wrinkles and blur dark spots. Its key ingredient is the Japanese plant, Isodonis Japonicus, which grows straight for two metres, literally defining gravity. Used in the brand's exclusive cohesion technology, it basically ‘glues’ the dermis and epidermis back together, strengthening slack and ageing skin. That plant extract is bolstered by alpha arbutin, an antioxidant to inhibit dark spots, and a peptide (protein) blend to boost collagen and elastin to promote a line-smoothing effect. London recommends a specific massage with this luxe-y neck concentrate as part of your evening regime.

Off the back of the epic Retinol Youth Renewal Night Cream, this new eye cream uses a gentle (well-studied) retinoid called retinal. The brand calls it a ‘next-generation retinoid’ capsulated in an exclusive delivery system that keeps the ingredient active and helps it penetrate deep within the skin’s surface. The retinal is supercharged with gentian root and oat sugar extracts to offer a visible improvement on deep-set lines while lifting and firming sagging lids, restoring the skin’s elasticity. Music to our ears.

This dry shampoo is always within arms' reach. Why? The lightweight formula combined with a barely-there scent and, most importantly, zero white residue. Enriched with camomile and vitamin E, it cares for your scalp while absorbing oils and boosting volume in flat hair. An excellent winter beauty buy for those days when you do not want to battle with wet locks on a chilly morning. Spray, massage in, and style - it’s that easy.

Body oil is an essential winter beauty buy for loads of reasons. First, oil is occlusive, creating a barrier on your skin’s surface to prevent transepidermal water loss while softening dry, rough skin. This luxe newbie features the best nourishing oils, including rosehip, wheat germ, macadamia, sweet almond, and avocado. Red marine algae, marshmallow, peach, and mango extracts boost the precious oils to revitalise dry, dehydrated skin and boost radiance.

Stila Complete Harmony Lip & Cheek Stick, $46.

This is the perfect blush for giving your skin that Brigerton glow. You can sculpt or highlight (in the cult-favourite shade Kitten) or go for a flush of colour with five shades by patting it on with your fingertips and letting the warmth of your skin melt the colour into your skin. Pictured here is my favourite shade, Petunia.

Jeuneora Beauty Brain Nootropic Super Powder, $99.

Our style director swears by the benefits of this blackcurrant-flavoured super-powder. Added to her green smoothie each morning (she doesn’t drink coffee), it’s her wake call thanks to EnXtra, a caffeine-free alternative that boosts alertness and helps focus and Bluenesse, lemon balm extract, which helps reduce anxiety and stress while also boosting cognitive performance. The sustainably sourced ingredients are 100 per cent plant-based and vegan-friendly, which works with Louise Hilsz’s vegetarian diet - she is hooked.

It would be remiss of me not to share the virtues of this new gloss. As a fan of Fenty makeup, this colour is so gorgeous. Thanks to the full-intensity pigment and beautiful shine, the finish can be worn sheer or buildable. While it’s a gloss, it’s non-sticky, and the peach vanilla scent plus vitamin A to nourish lips is addictive. There are five colours. My fave is this pretty soft purple called Mauve Wive$.
