It’s landed, and no surprise, it’s on track to be a smash hit. Eilish No.2 from singer Billie Eilish is as addictive and as recognisable in a crowd as her first fragrance, Eilish by Billie Eilish - but this time it’s a woody floral. Editor Trudi Brewer shares what to expect when you lift the lid.
Creating a fragrance that reflects your mood and sensuality is the secret to its success; adding a little mystery around the ingredients and the promise it will settle into everyone's skin differently is why Eilish No 2 is in hot demand. Billie used her favourite fragrance notes for her second scent, and this time, she chose metallic grey for the bottle, which again was inspired by her favourite body parts.
Eilish No. 2 10ml, $43, 30ml, EDP 30ml, $87, and 100m, $120.
What’s in it?
The brand calls this a sultry, woody floral. Drenched in heady notes designed to envelop the skin. The first burst is crisp thanks to bergamot and subtle apple blossom, and then the spicy black pepper, papyrus, and poppy develop. Palo Santo offers a woody citrus aroma, while the ebony (a little like cedar wood) with rich vanilla helps it last on the skin for hours. Finally, it’s cruelty-free and made with clean ingredients, certified by PETA’s Global Beauty Without Bunnies global list of cruelty-free products.
Why do we like it?
This fragrance certainly makes a statement. It’s bold and sweet but equally woody with so much depth that the longer you wear it, the more it changes. This could be it if you’re looking for an intriguing, woody scent to help you build a well-rounded fragrance wardrobe for spring.
