What's in it?
The best place to start with this clean lipstick is to share what's not in it. All JI’s cosmetics are clean, meaning there are no nasties in this lipstick, just organic nurturing ingredients, including luxurious cocoa butter, a brilliant antioxidant and a kick-butt moisturiser. Sunflower seed oil is loaded with vitamin E, which helps protect and further nourish the lips. A plant native to Asia called Portulaca pilosa (a flowering succulent) extract that contains potent antioxidants and hydrating saccharides (sugars) to repair dryness. Finally, candelilla wax helps to give this lipstick its creamy texture and helps it stay on the lips for hours.
Why am I wearing it?
The texture of this lipstick is rich and waxy, so there is no zero bleeding into those fine lines - a massive bonus. The brand promises four hours before needing a touch-up; I managed six hours wearing Magnolia (my fave daily shade; see above) before my lips required attention. Some darker colours add a lovely stain as the lippy wears, so brilliant for prolonging the wear, and at no time does it feel dry. I also appreciate that there is an excellent lineup of shades to flatter a wide range of skin tones. Finally, it plays nice with other formulas; you can wear it with a lip liner or not or layer it under a slick of lipgloss. This is a fantastic choice if you're about to splurge on a new lippy this spring.
A brow collection to suit any style or shape.
