A departure from the soft peach-coloured bottles of the past Alive, EDP and EDT, this time, the flaming coral-coloured bottle holds a sweet yet juicy scent that perfectly reflects its fruity-floral reputation. What’s in it?

It's impossible to smell this fragrance and not smile - which we put down to the addition of tangy, sweet, juicy raspberry. It is tricky to use raspberry in fragrance making, so perfumers have synthetics at their fingertips to recreate raspberry-ness called 'frambonine' or 'raspberry ketone, which brings a lush quality to the fragrance. It also smells of fresh roses; considering raspberry plants are part of the rose family, that makes sense. After a few minutes of wearing it, you get the vibrant green vetiver hits you (think freshly cut grass on a summer's day). Then finally, sensual benzoin, another prized synthetic ingredient, offers the smell of creamy vanilla scent and adds warmth, subtle sweetness and longevity to this fragrance.

Why do I like it?

It is a sweet scent but tempered with the freshness of vetiver and a dash of vanilla; it reminds me of a raspberry and vanilla bavarois. Just the right amount of creaminess with tart fruit prevents it from cloying.
