For the biggest beauty lover to the beauty minimalist, we're willing to put good money on the fact you own and regularly use lip balm. So, if you're chasing the perfect balm that is ultra-hydrating and healing with a natural formulation, this balm ticks every box says editor Trudi Brewer.
No icky ingredients in this natural French-inspired formula. These little tins of goodness are just what winter skin needs. Here’s a cheeky beauty buy that once you’ve tried it, you will never be without it.
MOR Boutique Lip Macaron, $15.
It’s hard choosing a favourite flavour, with nine different options, but right now I am loving Rosebud.
What’s in it?
I have learned a few things during my time as a beauty writer, you can never have enough lip balm, and when in doubt, cover every inch of yourself in coconut oil. Why? It's an omega-fatty acid-infused oil with brilliant antimicrobial perks. It's also a superior skin hydrator; and once mixed with lip conditioning beeswax, papaya, rosehip and jojoba oils, and then whipped with nourishing cocoa and Shea butter, you have a balm to keep your pucker in tip-top shape for life. Finally, the nine Lip Macaron flavours are inspired by the colour of the tins. Sorbet, Peach Nectar, Cassis Noir, Rosebud, French Vanilla, Apples, Blood Orange, Lychee Flower, and Passionflower.
Why do I like it?
I said it ticks every box, including being plastic-free, tick. But, by all means, don't stop at your lips. As I have discovered, this lip balm works over time by somehow managing to soothe my dry lips and stubborn dehydrated cuticles. Pretty, pocket-sized, and travel-friendly, what's not to love.
If you want to correct dryness, dark spots, and smooth fine lines - then yes.
