What’s in it?
Understanding new generation skincare formulations is a daunting prospect, and this is one product that does need explaining. Created with two key formula innovations to target dark circles and fine lines. First, Chronolux Power Signal Technology is also found in the brand's famous serum, Advanced Night Repair, so how does this benefit the thin skin under your eyes? Our skin has unique natural rhythms that function differently at night than during the day. While you sleep, the skin's natural repair process goes into overdrive to repair the damage from a day of environmental assault. The formula contains natural ingredients, including a probiotic ferment yeast extract, from Bifida ferment lysate. This probiotic helps strengthens the skin's barrier function, keeping moisture in and irritants out. In addition, a synthetic protein peptide called Tri-peptide 32 boosts your collagen production, firming the skin, and that famous moisture magnet hyaluronic acid (that draws moisture to the skin). Second, FR-Defense is an innovation to help your skin resist free radical damage from UV and blue light (from screens) exposure. This technology is powered by potent plant antioxidants, including lavender flower extract, caffeine, watermelon, lentil, apple, barley, wheat germ oil, lecithin, jojoba extracts and vitamin E. Together, all these ingredients hydrate, soothe, and brighten the skin. The formula is free from all the nasties like mineral oil, parabens, and drying alcohol. Also, it's fragrance-free. Finally, the jar is made from 15 per cent post-consumer recycled glass.

To use: There is an art to applying eye cream. Work from the inner corners of the eyes outwards in gentle patting motions. Never apply eye cream near your eyes, like the top eyelid, or directly underneath the eye close to the bottom lashes. This will cause puffiness - not what we want. Experts agree that eye cream should only be applied along the orbital bone or eye socket. Use day and night.
Why do I like it?
I am what you call a cherry picker regarding my skincare routine. I never stick to one brand exclusively, but Estée Lauder'sLauder's Advanced Night Repair has and will always feature in my regime, and it has been that way for the past 30 years. Why? It works. This new eye cream comes from an excellent pedigree and will help you cheat a good night's sleep. It is a great makeup primer for the day and a soothing hydrator at night. The moment I pat it on under your eyes, they look revived, and the skin feels smoother and plumper. The silky texture is addictive, and it sinks in seconds. So if you're looking for an eye cream that addresses all those annoying ageing concerns, this is it.
The latest skin-changing innovation.
