Tinted SPFs & creamy concealers
The future of skinminimalism is hybrid makeup. Now that the global mask mandate is over, in 2023, we will see a raft of foundations that are efficacious and effective, including those that double as tinted sunscreen. The focus is on the products that benefit your skin, rather than hiding every imperfection, nourishing as well as protective; with our environment under serge, the skin needs to be layered with antioxidant-rich products to help combat the daily damage from UV rays and pollution. The same goes for concealers; the rise of creamy concealer with skin-brightening ingredients means they correct and conceal simultaneously.

Beauty in the metaverse
The beauty industry is quick to adapt to the metaverse, a colourful vision of how the next generation of the internet will operate. That ecosystem would potentially have its currency, property and possessions, and NARS recently collaborated with three female artists to create NFTs inspired by their iconic NARS Orgasm product line. In 2023, our environmental issues will be top of mind for us, with sustainability being more crucial than ever. The demand for products that can be refilled and that use as little packaging as possible is growing, and so is plastic-free recycling.
